Designed with passionate book lovers in mind, this fantasy-inspired bookmark brings a touch of magic to your reading routine.
The creation process is a blend of two worlds: it started with a traditional watercolor painting on paper to capture the soft, organic textures. After scanning the piece into my computer, I continued the work on my drawing tablet painting digitally to enhance the shadows and add the vibrant, glowing light effects.
The artwork explores the balance between hardship and hope. While the dark, ink-like smoke represents threatening darkness, the golden stardust melting across the figure's face symbolizes resilience and light.
To bring this cosmic theme to life, the artwork is printed on heavy, high-quality 300–330 gsm pearlescent shimmer paper. The luxurious surface beautifully catches the light and glitters when you move it, perfectly complementing the golden stardust in the artwork while giving the bookmark a sturdy, premium feel.
