"This fantastic image is my tribute to one of Tromsø’s most beloved buildings, Tromsø Library—a place I absolutely love! To me, this painting creatively represents the beauty of science, history, and knowledge radiating from books and the library itself, spreading out into the universe. I have tried to capture the magic I feel when looking at the library and the infinite journey that knowledge can take us on. Here, we see Tromsø Library, with its characteristic curved forms, shining like a beacon in the cosmos. Around it swirls an explosion of deep blue and purple shades, filled with shimmering stars and galaxies, symbolizing the vastness of the universe. From this cosmic nebula, books float freely as if carrying the wisdom of the past, the discoveries of the present, and the ideas of the future out into space. Tromsø Library – an iconic building in the heart of the city
This watercolor painting with Micron ink pen is a tribute to Tromsø Library, a building I never tire of painting. The library is not only an architectural gem but also Tromsø’s oldest cultural institution, founded in 1871. Over the years, the library has had several locations, including at Storgata 118 from 1973 to 2005, before moving to its current location in the Fokuskvartalet. The new building was erected on the site of the former Fokus Cinema, and the distinctive roof from the cinema was preserved and integrated into the library’s design. The library also houses the city archives and has a dedicated children's section established in 1973. It is a place for knowledge, inspiration, and history—a building that truly deserves to be immortalized in art.

"Dette fantastiske bildet er min hyllest til et av Tromsøs mest elskede bygg, Tromsø Bibliotek – et sted jeg bare elsker! For meg representerer dette bildet på en kreativ måte alt det flotte med vitenskap, historie og kunnskap, som stråler ut fra bøker og selve biblioteket, og sprer seg ut i universet. Jeg har forsøkt å fange den magien jeg føler når jeg ser på biblioteket, og den uendelige reisen kunnskap kan ta oss med på.
Her ser vi Tromsø Bibliotek, med sine karakteristiske, buede former, som et strålende fyrtårn i kosmos. Rundt det virvler en eksplosjon av dype blå og lilla nyanser, fylt med glitrende stjerner og galakser, som symboliserer universets uendelighet. Fra denne kosmiske tåken svever bøker fritt, som om de bærer med seg fortidens visdom, nåtidens oppdagelser og fremtidens ideer ut i rommet. En majestetisk planet med ringer, Saturn, er også elegant plassert i forgrunnen, som et symbol på universets storhet og skjønnhet, og kanskje også de astronomiske bøkene som finnes innenfor bibliotekets vegger.

Tromsø bibliotek – et ikonisk bygg i hjertet av byen
Denne akvarellmaleriet med Micron-ink pen er en hyllest til Tromsø bibliotek, et bygg jeg aldri blir lei av å male. Biblioteket er ikke bare en arkitektonisk perle, men også Tromsøs eldste kulturinstitusjon, grunnlagt i 1871.
Gjennom årene har biblioteket hatt flere lokaler, blant annet i Storgata 118 fra 1973 til 2005, før det flyttet til sin nåværende plass i Fokuskvartalet. Det nye bygget ble reist på tomten til den tidligere Fokus kino, og det spesielle taket fra kinoen ble bevart og integrert i bibliotekets design.
Biblioteket huser også byarkivet, og har en egen barneavdeling som ble etablert i 1973. Det er et sted for kunnskap, inspirasjon og historie – et bygg som virkelig fortjener å bli foreviget i kunst.
